The Rutgers Economics Society (RECONS) was established to provide an enhanced opportunity for students of all majors interested in economics, to expand their interest, knowledge, skills, and career planning while interacting with each other, faculty, alumni and distinguished outside speakers.  There are no requirements for membership beyond being a student at Rutgers in Piscataway/New Brunswick and having an interest in economics and economic issues, and a desire to develop greater understanding, skills and networks. Membership in RECONS will replace the unofficial associate membership in ODE, the International Economics Honor Society. RECONS members will be able to apply for full ODE membership once they meet the requirements (see the Rutgers ODE web site for more information https://econweb.rutgers.edu/sheflin/ode.html). Full members in ODE will automatically have membership status in RECONS.
