CQECertificate in Quantitative Economics – Phase out    11/2023

The Certificate in Quantitative Economics (CQE) is being phased out and replaced by the Certificate in Computational Economics and Data Analytics (CCEDA) (https://economics.rutgers.edu/academics/undergraduate/certificate-in-economics/certificate-in-computational-economics-and-data-analytics ). Students who have not yet completed the online CQE signup form should instead turn to the CCEDA certificate.

Students who have signed up for and completed the online CQE application prior to 10/1/2023 and will complete all of its requirements by May 2024 may continue towards completion, but must email the advisor advising him of this. These students might find that they can complete the CCEDA requirements as well, but must use different courses, to do so (the same course may not be counted for each, except for Intro and Intermediate Micro, Macro, and Econometrics ).

Students who have signed up for the CQE but will not complete the requirements by this May 2024, should be able to complete the CCEDA instead, as many of the 220 course requirements overlap. Note that the additional mathematics, statistics and computer requirements of the CQE are not required in the CCEDA, resulting in fewer requirements than the CQE.
